Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet

This has more to do with feet than treats, but today is Halloween... hence the title.

Both Dave Hamner and I have many opportunities to volunteer our time and talents for various local charities or special events and we try our best to assist whenever possible. Last month I had the honor to being asked to MC the annual Hollister Grape & Fall Festival. This was my second year in a row to host this "smashing good time" held in Historic Downtown Hollister and presented by the Hollister Area Chamber of Commerce. Sponsors include the Taney County Airport, Penmac, Ozark Mountain Bank, the Branson Daily News, Hometown Radio and Branson Ridge Winery.

If you've never stepped into a vat of smushy grapes... you haven't experienced all the joys life has to offer. Ok, it's not that great, but it will put a smile on your face and a stain on your toes.

Thanks to the Flieg Family of Branson Ridge Winery for the photos... and the grapes!

I enjoyed being part of this year's event!

Remember kids, grape stomping can be dangerous. If you don't believe me, take a look at this reporter in Georgia. (She was OK... eventually!)

If you don't find humor in others pain... don't play this version.
